It’s that time of year in Oregon Wine Country at Youngberg Hill Vineyards and Inn. The vines are growing an inch a day! We are hoeing the weeds and grass out of the rows, raising catch wires and shoot positioning to manage the canopy, shoot continuing out spray program, and mowing the cover crop. The day started at 4:30 this morning and will end tonight at 9:00. It is great to have these long days of sunlight.

The guests are enjoying another leisurely day walking in the vineyard, wine tasting in the area, and enjoying great dinners in McMinnville. While there have been many rain showers around the valley the last couple of days, as usual, the  coastal breeze has kept us clear and full of sunshine. We have a wedding on Saturday and the weather promises to be perfect.
