It is a beautiful day up on Youngberg Hill Vineyards & Inn. The warm weather this weekend will surely get the grapevine buds to swelling. We are going to be late again this year. The buds are coming out on all the other trees and plants. Flowers a blooming everywhere. It is beautiful up here on the Hill. The grass is lush and green. It will be wonderful for our next Winemaker’s Dinner coming up on May 2nd. It is an exciting time of year.
Now is a wonderful time to visit the Inn and vineyard to enjoy the spectacular views, the peace and quiet of the Inn, and the beauty and serenity of the hill.
The wines are growing marvelously in the cellar. We are going to bottle the 2007 Pinot noir next week after 16 months in barrel. The 2007 vintage is going to be a wonderful wine to drink young with a lot of elegance and character. Well balanced with enough fruit to make it refreshing, enough earthiness to make it intriquing, enough acidity to give it structure, and just enough alcohol to give it zip.
