Oregon’s Willamette Valley is a small triangular region of more than 100 miles long and up to 60 miles wide just south of Portland. The climate here is perfect for Pinot Noir, but that’s certainly not all that’s grown and produced here. The Best Willamette Valley Wine Tasting Near McMinnville
Our Willamette Valley Wine Tasting Room is located at the top of the hill at our stunning 50-acre estate and is attached to our luxurious Bed and Breakfast. It’s certainly one of the most unique experiences in all of the Willamette Valley, and one that will have you falling in love with not just Oregon, but life itself, all over again. The views from the top of our Hill are nothing short of spectacular, but the delicious wines are the real star of the show here.
Our 30-year old vineyard has been farmed organically since we bought it in 2003. We now use biodynamic and no-till farming practices at the farm and vineyard, and we are well-known in the area for producing incredible wines. We love to talk wine with our guests and promise an exceptional experience every time you visit our wine tasting room near McMinnville. More than anything else, as you sip from our varietals in our Willamette Valley wine tasting room, you’ll taste a hint of the passion we have for our land the wines we produce.
Though we’ve been closed for nearly two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Willamette Valley wine tasting room is typically open daily from 10 am – 4 pm. Like many of the other wine tasting rooms, wineries, and vineyards around Willamette Valley, we hope our tasting room will be back open to guests by May 15th, 2020, though likely at reduced capacity. We offer two wine tasting experiences for you to choose from, along with a 2–hour winemaker tour for the true wine enthusiasts.
- Youngberg Hill Wine tasting: Enjoy our estate wines, which beautifully reflect the diversity of the Youngberg Hill terroir. Throughout this 1.5 hour tasting, you’ll spend time learning all you want to know about general wine education, and learn important information about our property and its AVA,. This tasting is for all levels of wine lovers, from novices to oenophiles. The tasting fee is $30, but Inn guests enjoy 50% off savings.
- To taste our select Bailey Family Wines, you’ll need to participate in our Elevated Tasting. This experience is Hosted by Wayne Bailey, acclaimed winegrower in Oregon for the past 17 years. The seated tasting will feature samples of our newly released wines and cheese pairing. You will learn more about our history, Wayne’s vision for this special label, and experience, firsthand, why the Willamette Valley is the perfect place to grow and produce our exquisite wines. The tasting fee for this experience is $50, but, again, Inn guests enjoy 50% off savings.
- For the true wine enthusiast, we offer the Winemaker Tour & Tasting; an intimate 2-hour experience with Wayne Bailey as you tour our organic vineyard and sip our Estate-produced wines. This is an exclusive experience focused on all aspects of viticulture, terroir, and winemaking. Ticket cost is $100/person, with a minimum of 2 people required. Member discounts apply. Cancellations less than 48 hours will be refunded 50% of the ticket cost.
