Color change in the Willamette Valley
No, it’s not fall yet in the Willamette Valley, but the grapes are changing color. As cool weather continues to persist, the grapes are slow in turning, but they are getting there. We are still a couple of weeks behind and not catching up. It will be a long fall. Share on Facebook

Oregon Pinot Noir
Every year is another adventure growing Oregon Pinot Noir. This year has been no exception. A late, cool spring and summer have left the vines about 3 weeks behind their normal cycle. If things continue, we won’t have ripe fruit until November, if it were to ripen at all. However, little waves of heat like [...]
Camelot in the Willamette Valley
Youngberg Hill is our Camelot in the Willamette Valley. Named for the mystic nirvana of Merlin and King Arthur. This young block was planted back in 2008. We tied the vines to the pencil rods this week. It’s just one more step towards this new blocks journey. Share on Facebook
Oregon Pinot Noir

Last night was another winning cause that we particpate in, donate [...]

Growing Grapes in Willamette Valley
Grapes are growing like crazy here in the Willamette Valley on Youngberg Hill Vineyard. The vines have so much pent up energy, with this warmer weather they are growing faster than we can move the wires to hold them in place to get a nice even canopy (the green 7 foot high wall of shoots). [...]
